Colorado State Assistance

The residents of this rocky state have a high personal per capital income standing at $41,042. This slightly raises the problems for the single mothers in the state due to the high costs of living and raising their kids. Statistically, 24% of the population of the state is children under the age of 18 and 12% of this entire population are not covered under a single medical insurance policy. The state of Colorado, to support single mothers, runs various support programs that you can benefit from.

Childcare: The child care division of The Colorado Department of Human Services runs the Colorado child care assistance program to single mothers as well as low income families that are in need for employment opportunities or need child care support in bringing up their children with the employment. To be eligible for support under this childcare program, the single mothers income should be less than 130% of the federal government stipulated income.

Healthcare: The Department of Health Care Policy and Financing is a combined public health policy run for families, children, pregnant women, and persons with disabilities or the elderly residents of the state. There are certain requirements with respect to age, income and family status that you need to meet in order to be able to meet be offered support under this healthcare program.

Food & Supplies: Putting food on the table can become a challenging task for a single mother without a stable and continuous source of income.
